Our volunteers are incredibly important to the Girl Scout mission of building "girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place." Our volunteers help girls develop the life skills and decision-making skills they will need to become resourceful, productive and community oriented citizens. Through their caring and compassion, the girls learn the importance of helping others while learning to appreciate and respect each other as individuals.
Girl Scout volunteers influence and shape the young leaders of the future. Through Girl Scouting the girls learn to be self-reliant and self-confident. They are encouraged to explore their possibilities so that they will be ready to face tomorrow’s challenges and changes.
Volunteers are the key to strengthening community awareness of Girl Scouts of Middle Georgia, Inc. They are the cornerstone of our success helping us deliver enriching and rewarding programs to Girl Scouts throughout middle Georgia. They are the role models who challenge our girls to reach for the stars - inspiring them to strive to be the best they can be.
